Criteria/Requirements at Christopher Homes
Below are the general requirements at Christopher Homes Housing:
Christopher Homes provides efficiency (-0-) and one (-1-) bedroom units to eligible persons. We have a waiting list for some complexes, as we provide housing on a first come basis. However, there are vacancies in some of the complexes.
In general, the age limit is 62 years or older. However, some of our properties allow disabled persons 18 years or older to reside in our Mobility Accessible Units only. There are also some complexes where Christopher Homes has received a Age Waiver from Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to be able to rent to eligible persons aged 55 years or older (click here
for complexes with age waivers – marked with an asterisk).
Income limits will vary from property to property (click here
for income schedule). A tenant’s rent is based upon 30% of their adjusted income. Adjusted income is income after eligible medical expenses and the $400 elderly or disabled allowance is applied. A person must be 62 or disabled to receive the $400 allowance and to count medical expenses. Other circumstances may apply. The Little Rock management office of Christopher Homes will determine income eligibility.
